This Membership Agreement (“Agreement”) sets out the terms on which Syntax Golf provides access to its indoor golf and training facility (“Studio”). By purchasing a membership, making a booking, or entering the Studio, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
*IMPORTANT*: This is an unmanned facility. Members and Guests use the Studio entirely at their own risk. Particular attention should be paid to Sections 6–14.
1. Membership Categories
Syntax Golf offers the following membership types:
- Founder Premium/Premium
- Off Peak
- Corporate
Each membership includes specific access rights, usage limits, booking windows and pricing as set out in the Membership Package Overview, which forms part of this Agreement.
Premium and Off Peak memberships are strictly individual use only. Corporate memberships permit up to three (3) additional Guests per booked simulator session.
Members wishing to bring Guests must declare and pay the applicable Member Guest Player fee at the time of booking.
The Studio is monitored at all times, any misuse, undeclared guests or access sharing may result in suspension or termination.
2. Membership Term & Renewal
- Memberships operate on a rolling monthly basis.
- Memberships automatically renew unless cancelled in accordance with Section 3.
- Syntax Golf reserves the right to amend fees or terms upon 1 months written notice.
3. Fees, Payment & Cancellation
- All fees must be paid in advance.
- An additional Service Charge, typically 1% or 50p, applies to all memberships and additional bookings in accordance with Your Golf Booking / TrackMan platform terms.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Members may cancel their membership via their online account up to 7 days prior to the next renewal date. No partial refunds are provided for unused time or sessions.
- Failure to pay may result in immediate suspension of access.
4. Access & Booking Rules
- All sessions must be booked in advance via the online booking system.
- Members and Guests receive a time limited, single-use, automated door access code valid only for the duration of their booking.
- Access codes must not be published online or shared with anyone other than declared players on the booking.
- Codes expire shortly after the session ends.
- Overstaying may result in additional charges or restricted booking access.
Session Limits:
- Simulator bays: can be booked in 1 hour slots
- Gym bay or putting studio: can be booked in 30 min slots
5. Cancellations & No-Shows
- Bookings must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance.
- Late cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable and will count towards monthly allocation.
- Repeated no-shows may result in restricted booking access.
6. Guest Policy
- Members may bring up to three (3) Guests per simulator bay and one (1) Guest in the putting studio or gym bay, subject to paying the applicable Guest Fee.
- All Guests must comply with these Terms before entering the studio.
- Members are responsible for their Guests at all times, including their conduct, safety and any damage caused.
- Breach of guest rules may result in cancellation or termination of the Membership without refund.
7. Teaching
- Teaching/coaching out of the facility is strictly prohibited unless it is with one of the approved Syntax Golf coaches.
8. Code of Conduct
Members and Guests are expected to use the Studio respectfully and safely at all times.
This includes:
- Wearing clean, non-marking footwear and appropriate attire
- Following all safety guidance and signage
- Being mindful of others using the space
- Ensuring only one person swings a club at any time
- Remaining outside the hitting area when another player is swinging
To protect the experience for all Members:
- Access codes must not be shared
- Equipment must be used as intended
- Filming or photography for personal use (such as recording your own swing) is permitted. Recording other Members or Guests is not allowed without their prior consent.
- Personal music should only be played when the Studio is empty
The following are not permitted at any time:
- Alcohol consumption
- Smoking, vaping or drug use
- Unsafe, aggressive or disruptive behaviour
Security monitoring systems operate within the Studio at all times.
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in immediate suspension or termination of access.
9. Unmanned Facility & Safety
- The Studio operates as an unmanned at certain times.
- Members and Guests are responsible for assessing their own fitness and ability to use the facilities safely unsupervised
- First aid equipment is available on-site.
- If you have any medical/physical condition or injury, you should seek professional advice before using the facility.
- In an emergency, call 999 immediately.
- Syntax Golf accepts no responsibility for lack of supervision.
- Use of the Studio and equipment is entirely at your own risk.
10. Damage & Loss
Members are financially responsible for any damage, loss or misuse of Studio propertycaused by themselves or their Guests. Repair or replacement costs may be charged to the Member.
11. Children and Young People
Membership is open to those aged 17 and over. Children under 8 years old are not permitted in the club for safety reasons. Children aged 8–17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times
12. Surveillance & Data Protection
The Studio operates CCTV and monitoring systems for safety and security. By entering, you consent to recording in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Personal data is processed in line with UK GDPR.
13. Studio Monitoring & Data Protection
To ensure a safe, secure and high-quality experience for all Members, the Studio operates 24/7 video monitoring and access control systems.
By using the Studio, you understand that:
- Video recording operates throughout the premises
- Entry, access and usage activity may be logged
- Monitoring systems may be used to support safety, security and fair use of the facility
We take privacy seriously and handle all data responsibly in line with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.
Security & Storage
- Footage and related data are stored securely using encrypted systems
- Data may be stored locally and/or within secure cloud systems used by our technology providers
- Appropriate safeguards are in place to protect all information
Retention
- Recordings are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary
- In most cases, this will be for a limited period (typically up to 30 days), unless required for investigation or legal reasons
Use of Data
- Access to data is strictly limited to authorised personnel
- Footage may be reviewed where necessary for safety, security or operational purposes
- Data may be shared with law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required

14. Liability & Assumption of Risk
Use of the Studio involves inherent risks, including physical activity, moving equipment and the use of golf clubs.
Members and Guests acknowledge that the Studio is an unmanned facility and that the facility and equipment are used without supervision. By using the Studio, Members and Guests accept responsibility for their own safety and the correct use of all equipment. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Syntax Golf is not liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from use of the Studio, except where caused by negligence resulting in death or personal injury.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
15. Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access where these Terms are breached, including misuse of access, non-payment or inappropriate behaviour.
No refunds will be provided where access is withdrawn due to a breach of these Terms.
16. Force Majeure
Syntax Golf is not liable for disruption due to events beyond its control, including power failure, internet outage, equipment malfunction or software issues.
17. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of that jurisdiction shall have exclusive authority.
18. Acceptance
By purchasing a membership, making a booking or entering the Studio, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms.
